Merritt Security & Audio is a proud 3 year resident of Lansdowne. Established in 1979 as an automotive detailing and body shop, the business quickly evolved into automotive electronics. Merritt Security and Audio was the first company in the Baltimore area to install and service automotive security systems.
Merritt is the first and only independent company to be certified by Ford Motor Company to install and service Ford Lincoln-Mercury remote starters and cruise controls.
In 1993 the business
moved to Belle Grove Rd in Brooklyn Park from its Baltimore City home. By
2002 Merritt Security & Audio grew too large for it's surroundings and
purchased the former 2-day-old bakery at 2808 Hammonds Ferry Rd.
